Career and Technical Education (CTE) System

In Illinois, secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a responsibility of the Education for Employment System. This public education system is charged with preparing students for entry into employment through regional (local) programs and/or post-secondary education.

The purpose of the Education for Employment System is to provide high-quality programs to maximize facilities, work opportunities and funds available.
